Le 15 septembre, nous \u00e9tions fiers d’honorer Mme Sharon Steinberg. Amis, famille et coll\u00e8gues se sont r\u00e9unis \u00e0 l’Institut de recherche du CUSM pour une visite informative du laboratoire de recherche en cardiologie du Dr Cecere et pour c\u00e9l\u00e9brer Mme Steinberg.<\/p>\n
Le projet C\u0153ur dans un bo\u00eete de p\u00e9tri faisant parti de la Biobanque Cardiovasculaire Courtois, dirig\u00e9 par la Dre Nadia Giannetti, le Dr Cecere et le Dr Terry H\u00e9bert, est une plateforme de recherche translationnelle dans laquelle des cellules souches sont cr\u00e9\u00e9es \u00e0 partir d’\u00e9chantillons de sang de patients. Ces cellules souches sont cultiv\u00e9es pour former un muscle cardiaque (\u00ab C\u0153ur dans un bo\u00eete de p\u00e9tri \u00bb) et \u00e9tudi\u00e9es comme mod\u00e8les personnalis\u00e9s de maladies cardiaques dans le but de mieux comprendre la cardiomyopathie dilat\u00e9e et d\u2019individualiser les traitements des patients, comme celui de Mme Steinberg.<\/p>\n
