
Perceptions of COVID-19 Risk and Vaccination: A Quebec Perspective
The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted Canada, with 659 per 100,000 individuals contracting the virus and 27 per 100,000 dying from the virus. Five clinical trials are currently investigating vaccines, with a potential approval date of 2021. Quebec has been particularly affected, with double the national rate of cases and almost triple the national mortality rate. The study objective is to identify factors that could improve vaccination rates , a survey will be administered to a Quebec based population, Cardivovascular Biorepository participants. Their attitudes will be assessed through their opinions on COVID-19 vaccination (compliance or potential barriers), potential side effect or the development of the drug itself, perception on the risk of virus contraction.
