The POWER Hub— Pathways to cardiOvascular care for Women in Ethnic, Racialized, and Remote communities

Cardiovascular disease is a universal cause of death among women.Woman of low economic groups, immigrants, or indigenous woman and of diverse cultures receive inadequate consultations, treatments, and diagnosis. This is caused by the limited access to specialist, lack of recognition of symptoms, cultural awareness, and gender inequalities. The creation of the POWER hub will help develop cardiovascular preventative risk assessment for the vulnerable population among woman while taking into considering economic, age, gender, psychosocial and environmental factors. Therefore, the intension is to find an association between CMR-derived biomarkers and adverse clinical event, and patient reported outcomes in woman in the POWER hub.
